Clay’s also really great planning for urban growth. He put a stop to a lot of subdivisions that were going in illegal at that time, had too many entrances going in on the county highways. Then made the subdivisions put in the way they should go in. He’s great at planning and zoning. He’s very intelligent and ability to learn and find out things. Even though he didn’t have a background in agriculture or farming. He always enjoyed going to the agriculture type meetings that we had, and got along really well with the Cowboys and farmers that we had, that we worked with. In fact I don’t think there’s anything that Clay can’t do or learn. He never did conquer the idea of riding a horse in the fire parade, but other than that, he is pretty Good.”
